Saturday, April 8, 2017: Classical Roots, Latin Passion

SATURDAY, APRIL 8, 8 PM

CLASSICAL ROOTS, LATIN PASSION

DALÍ QUARTET

Domenic Solerni, Carlos Rubio, violins; Adriana Linares, viola; Jesús Morales, cello

With an artist’s grace and a Caribbean soul, the Dalí Quartet is today’s freshest voice in Classical and Latin- American music. In the spirit of famed Spanish artist Salvador Dalí, the Dalí Quartet embraces imagination and excellence as central to its art form and has brought its signature Latin-Classical connection to audiences in Canada, the U.S. and South America. “The Dalí Quartet’s Latin-American program alternately glimmered and blazed”, wrote the Philadelphia Inquirer.

PROGRAMME: Amaya Angelica; Plaza Fuga Romántica, Fuga Criolla; Haydn String Quartet in G major, Op. 76, No. 1; Piazzolla Four, for Tango; Turina La oración del torero, Op. 34; Ginastera String Quartet No. 1, Op. 20
