More About Nobuyuki:

Two Virtuosi patrons saw him perform in Switzerland last May with the Basel Symphony Orchestra and were overwhelmed emotionally. They collated notes from several sources, and here is a little of what they sent to me:

* Nobuyuki Tsujii was born blind in 1988 but was gifted with a talent for music. At the age of two, he began to play “Jingle Bells” on a toy piano after hearing his mother humming the tune.

* He has recorded quite a number of CDs. His Van Cliburn disc alone has sold well over 100,000 copies!

* Critics have fallen all over themselves to describe how affected they were by Nobu’s artistry, but we need search no further than the words of pianist Van Cliburn himself: “You feel God’s presence in the room when he plays. His soul is so pure. His music goes to infinity, to the highest heaven.”
