TWO PIANOS, ONE VISION

Kyung & Michael Kim, Duo Piano

The Kim Duo's unique programme for Virtuosi Concerts will unfold in the namner of a musical variety show, as most concerts were performed in the 18th and 19th centuries. They trace the growth of the piano as an instrument and how it affected composers' styles, audience expectations and the rise of the virtuoso performer.

Miro SQ

Programme "Evolution of the Piano" - A journey from 1685 and the birth of Bach, Handel and Scarlatti, through the Enlightenment with Dussek, Mozart and Beethoven, into the Romantic era with Mendelssohn and Chopin and the 20th Century with Ravel and Gershwin.
