From great strength to the lightest of touch, Ms. Chan had it all.  In this complex program, every segment of every phrase was layered with meaning.  Ms. Chan produced “surround” sound, almost lifting us out of our chairs.  A phenomenal, exquisite concert.  ~ C.S.

Ms. Chan is a very versatile musician.  The Busoni was very solemn, but very beautiful.  The Haydn was very lively, the Chopin was very dramatic, and the Schubert was very thoughtful and introspective.  Beautiful, sensitive playing throughout.  ~ Linwood DeLong

Crystal clear playing – deft fingers – and perfectly arched phrases along with charming contrasts made for a perfectly enchanting Haydn.  Bach/Busoni sang with warmth & clarity, devotion & dedication. ~ Virginia Heinrichs

Such beautiful sparkling clarity. ~ Lorraine Leo de Jong

Another exquisite evening and really, this is no longer a surprise.  Sonia Chan is a wonderful player, each different composer so well interpreted.  We went home with a full heart and satisfied mind.  ~ M. Dammermann
